National Symposium on Ecology, Conservation and Sustainable Production of Pau-Brasil
On December 5 and 6, 2024, the Agroforestry Science Training Center of the Federal University of Southern Bahia hosted the National Symposium on the Ecology, Conservation and Sustainable Production of Pernambuco, focusing on the presentation of scientific papers related to the four topics most relevant to the future of Brazil's national tree. The event is free of charge and took place in the event area of the Ilhéus Praia hotel , in Ilhéus - Bahia.

Arthur Dubroca, Gabriel Pasquier and Lauri Tanner represented IPCI France-Europe.
Afterwards, they travelled to Nordeste to visit the School of Agriculture of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, where Paubrasilia replanting trials are being carried out in partnership with the Institute of Tropical Medicine of Rio Grande do Norte.
From there, they ended their stay by visiting various APNE research sites under the direction of Frans Pareyn, with whom the IPCI has been collaborating for some ten years. https://www.plantasdonordeste.org/
